Select Date
The current date is listed on the header of each page in two parts: 1) the day of the week (e.g. "Dominica," "Feria Secunda," etc.) and 2) Roman calendar date (e.g. "Kalendis Februarii"). You may change the date by a single day by clicking on the double arrows (« and ») that surround the date. The day will move to the previous date by clicking on «, and the day will move to the next date by clicking on ». If you hover your mouse over either double arrow, a small comment window will appear which lists that day's feast.
You may also view a calendar from which you can change dates. If you click on the Latin date in the header, you will be taken to the calendar. You may change the current month you are view by clicking the double arrows (« and ») which surrounds the current month and year. You can set the date to any date on the calendar by clicking it. Again, you may hover over the date to view a small comment window that lists that day's feast.
Select Hour
Select the hour you would like to view by clicking on its title in the header. If you change the date while viewing a particular hour, you will remain in that hour but with the appropriate content displayed.
Other Sections of the Divine Office
You may view other sections of the Divine Office (e.g. Officium Parvum B.M.V., Officium Defunctorum, etc.) by clicking on the appropriate link in the footer of each page. The current date is shared across the website, even if you have changed to a previous or future date in the header. This means, for example, that the correct seasonal content will be displayed for the Officium Parvum B.M.V..
